Miss the good old days when your favorite bands rocked the house? You could try to build a working time machine or you could just head over to our place for Veranda Vibes Saturday, April 14, from 3-8.
Bring your lawn chairs out to 23002 Henderson Row Drive where tribute bands paying homage to Jimmy Buffet, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Santana and Journey will take the stage for a concert to end all concerts.
Bands scheduled to perform include a Jimmy Buffett tribute by Lost Shaker of Salt, Mike Sugg honoring Toby Keith, Keith Ormrod singing popular tunes by Kenny Chesney, a Santana tribute by Soul Sacrifice and a Journey tribute by Eclipse.
Fan girls and boys can dress up for a slew of band-based costume contests including a Best Parrot Head costume in honor of Jimmy Buffet, Best Island Attitude (Kenny Chesney), Shoulda Woulda Been a Cowboy (Toby Keith) and Best Air Guitar for Santana. Journey fans can dig out their leggings, off-the-shoulder sweatshirts, t-shirts and blazers to rock the 80s’ costume contest. Winners will receive gift cards, with two awards given for the Best Parrot Head and Best Air Guitar competitions.
We’ll also have great food for purchase from mobile eateries including Anna’s Gourmet Greek, Licha’s Food Truck, The Crepe Machine, Smok'd It Up BBQ, IL Primo Pizza & Wings and SheCupcakes Bake Shop. Beer can be purchased to wash it all down.
In between sets, you can to tour our 11 beautiful model homes to pick up decorating ideas or a new home. Parking admission and the music are free so come vibe with us!
Veranda Vibes is one of many events on the April Drools Home Tour calendar. The tour, sponsored by our developer Johnson Development, encourages the public to visit hundreds of homes, including 170 models in 14 Johnson communities throughout April.
